Is the THIN system right for you?

Juniper's THIN is a modular system of 12.7 mm light segments that snap together magnetically and turn a full 360°. It suits a lot of projects, but not every one. Here is how to tell.

It's a great fit if you want to:

• Light a space with a fine line. Slim linear pendants and vertical drops over kitchen islands, benches and desks.
• Create a sculptural centrepiece. Dyads, Triads and shapes turn fine lines of light into a feature over a dining table or stairwell.
• Frame a mirror or a bed. Wall lights sit either side of a vanity mirror or bed, and wall-mounted task lamps reach over a bedside.
• Put the light where it's needed. Each segment turns on its own, so one fitting can light a bench, wash a wall and glow softly at once.
• Get beautiful colour. CRI 95+ and R9 90+, so food, timber and skin tones look natural.
• Dim it right down. Smooth dimming to 0.1% with a phase or DALI driver.

Think twice if you need:

• A light without a separate driver. Every THIN light runs from a remote 24 V driver, which needs a place in the ceiling, wall cavity or joinery.
• A chunky or solid-looking fitting. THIN is built from ultra-thin segments just 12.7 mm in diameter. Even the shapes, Dyads and clusters make their statement with fine lines and light rather than bulk, and simpler designs blend quietly into the architecture.
• A DIY install. The driver is mains powered, so it must be installed by a licensed electrician.
