The independent modules for SYSTEM DOT 28 fit the 28 mm light point into a cavity ceiling without a material-specific housing. They suit retrofits and mixed ceilings, from thin panels to fibreboard, the only requirement is a slab thickness between 1 and 25mm Each module uses the DOT 28 bayonet, so the luminaire locks in from the front and can be removed just as easily for installation and maintenance.
Three modules cover different openings and finishes.
TRIM RENDEL 28. A cavity bracket for any suspended ceiling from 1 to 25 mm thick. A 38 mm hole is drilled from below, the bracket is tightened from the front, and an attractive knurled trim remains visible. In some cases a mini driver can be threaded through the hole. One advantage of this modules is an Installation depth is 50 mm can be achieved. Finishes are gold, total black and polar white.
TRIM FLAT 28. The flatter trim version of the TRIM RENDEL. It uses a 38 mm hole and sits closer to the ceiling, with an installation depth of 60 mm. Finishes are gold, total black and polar white.
TRIM FLAT 68–28. The same flat trim, sized for a standard 68 mm cut-out. Useful where an existing downlight opening is being reused. Installation depth is 60 mm. TRIM FLAT 68 also serves as a cooling surface extension for the DOT 28 allowing for higher Lumen outputs. Finishes are gold, total black and polar white.
