Dot, designed by Foster + Partners, is a family of pendant lamps that transform lighting into elegant, floating disks of pure light. Two precisely engineered aluminum disks — a smaller lower one and a larger upper diffuser — are connected by a slender central tube. A ring of powerful LEDs in the bottom disk shines upward, while an innovative aerospace-grade heat sink hidden inside the tube efficiently dissipates heat, keeping the fixture cool and lightweight. When switched on, Dot appears as a remarkably thin, almost weightless disk suspended in mid-air, casting soft, shadow-free, enveloping light throughout the space. Available in three diameters (60 cm / 23 W, 80 cm / 41 W, and 110 cm / 55 W) and two refined finishes — anodized black and anodized brass — Dot combines formal elegance with cutting-edge lighting technology.
